1986 State IRB Championships - video feature

The 1986 NSW State IRB Championships were held at North Narrabeen under incredibly treacherous conditions.  It became so rough with swells well in excess of 2 metres, that the competition was temporarily moved to Collaroy beach.

Long time North Coast rivals Brunswick and Ballina SLS Clubs fight it out with 23 other Clubs in a tight battle for the Championship Title.  The video below was featured on TV's Wide World of Sports as a tribute to the sport.
